Spain is the opposite of Switzerland in many ways. While Switzerland is one of the smallest countries in Europe—just slightly larger than Luxembourg—Spain ranks as the second largest. For instance, a single region like the Costa del Sol covers approximately 1,400 km², which is roughly one-third the size of the entire country
of Switzerland. This vast difference in scale naturally leads to very different lifestyles and habits. An uninformed Swiss contractor, for example, might find it hard to imagine these contrasts.

Over our 55 years of experience, we have come to understand and adapt to these differences. Regarding the two plots we mention, they are not particularly suitable for sale at this time. Although located in the beautiful Monte Mayor area —which also inspired the name of our website— the development there has been a seemingly never-ending story. The entire area is owned by one of the largest construction companies in Malaga, and our share amounts to just a tiny 0.13%.

The company involved is Myramar. It is one of the key companies that has helped shape the modern Costa del Sol through long-term investment and high-quality real estate development. They recently completed Muelle 2 of the Malaga Sea Port—a project far more significant than developing Monte Mayor Bajo.
It is quite likely that any major development here will take another 50 years or more. But that’s all right; the fifth generation of our family is growing up now and will enjoy the eventual benefits..
